2018 e-Learning Korea Edutech Fair

From September 13th (Thu) to 15th (Sat), 2018 E-learning Korea Edu Tech Fair was held at D Hall, COEX 3F, Seoul. The Fair is jointly hosed by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and organized by Korea Education Research Information Service(KERIS), National IT Industry Promotion Agency(NIPA) and Korea Edutech Industry Association(KETIA).

A total of 121 companies from 9 countries participated in the Fair. The Ministry of Education and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education operated the Future Education Hall to provide future education visions such as digital textbooks, software education, learning analysis, e-learning globalization, and Seoul Future Schools. In particular, this year emphasized cutting-edge new technologies that can be introduced into school education such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality(VR), augmented reality (AR), big data, and the Internet of Things(IoT).

In addition, a variety of hands-on classes were held at the Future Education Hall and the event site. Especially, in the future education Hall, the future classroom of Shinga elementary school which was renovated as the future school project of the Seoul city was implemented, and the digital textbook, the software and the maker education were performed inside the classroom for the elementary and junior high school students and the general public. There were many experience-oriented exhibitions also in booth of private companies. Meanwhile, sessions on global eLearning trends were held at the event site, and the Apple Korea software education program, the coding program with Connect Foundation and Khan Academy were all successful. A total of 27,335 people visited for 3 days, including 503 foreign attendees.
