Opening Ceremony and International Forum for the Innovative ICT-integrated Classroom in Myanmar

On December 17th, 2018, KERIS held the ‘International Forum on ICT for Education Development' in Myanmar in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Korea and Myanmar as a part of the construction and operation of the Innovative ICT-integrated Classroom in Myanmar. The International Forum was held to discuss the educational information policy and future cooperation of both Korea and Myanmar, to share best practices of the Innovative ICT-integrated Classroom management, and to highlight the existing areas of educational exchange among partner countries. The International Forum was attended by approximately 120 individuals including officials from the Ministry of Education of Korea and Myanmar, officials from provincial and municipal offices education, and leading teachers from both countries.


Together with the International Forum, KERIS organized the opening ceremony for the Innovative ICT-integrated Classroom in Dagon, Myanmar on December 18th. During this forum, the Ministry of Education of Korea and Myanmar mutually vowed to maintain close cooperation through the Innovative ICT-integrated Classroom Project.


Meanwhile, from December 19th ~ 21st, an ICT capacity building training was conducted with the purpose of training 40 local teachers. This training was held on the topics of ICT usage in teaching and learning methods and educational software usage, which provided teachers with the basic knowledge and hands-on experience required to effectively apply technology in their classes.
