The Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) has announced the guidelines for the 18th Digital Education Research Conference (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) and has prepared a special lecture on Knowledge Spring to help teachers prepare for the competition.

The name of the conference has been changed from the Educational Informatization Research Conference to the "Digital Education Research Conference" to support research that supports digital-based educational innovation in the school field. The conference will be operated in three categories according to the research field: ▲Digital Teaching and Learning, ▲Educational SW and AI, and ▲Digital School Management.

The preliminary round will be held in each province and city from April to August, and the national competition will be held in October. The Digital School Management category will be operated only with the national competition without the provincial and city competitions. Teachers who wish to submit their work for the preliminary round should follow the schedule and guidelines of their affiliated education office.

It is expected that more teachers will be able to benefit from the winning rate of the conference being expanded from 40% to 60% of the submitted works starting this year. We also plan to expand the special benefits of global capacity building training for excellent winners.

To support teachers' participation in the conference, KERIS will offer a special lecture through the real-time online training service Digital Knowledge Spring from March 21st to 28th.

The Knowledge Spring special lecture will be held three times for each category, and each session will consist of three classes. It is expected that the winners of the previous year's conference in each category will directly share their research methods and winning know-how and provide real-time Q&A to provide practical help for the participants' preparation for the conference.

Early childhood, elementary, and middle school teachers who wish to participate in the special lecture can apply on Knowledge Spring before the start of each class.

Seejoon Chang, Director of the AI Digital Textbook Division at KERIS, said, "The conference has played a role in leading the digital transformation of the classroom with the power of teachers." He also encouraged, "I hope many of you will participate in the 18th Digital Education Research Conference and fully demonstrate your abilities as leading digital education teachers."
