How to Teach Using AI in University Education!

- A seminar to be held inviting experts to share examples of top lectures in the AI era of university education.

□ The Korea Educational Research and Information Service (KERIS) will hold a seminar on: "Teaching Methods Using AI in Higher Education" on April 27 (Thursday) to enhance the AI utilization capabilities of Korean university professors by spreading teaching methods for leading university education in the AI era.

○ The seminar will begin with an introduction to the Ministry of Education's Graduate Qualification Education Support Center, followed by a lecture on the impact of AI on education, ways to utilize it in university classes, and preparations for it by Prof. Nam-Ki Park of Gwangju National University on the topic of 'University Teaching Methods in the Generative AI Era'. Afterward, Prof. Shin Hyung-woo (Shinhan University), Prof. Ahn Byung-kyu (Chonnam National University), Prof. Kim Joo-ho (KAIST), Prof. Kim Young-hoon (Korea Teachers College), and Prof. Kang Shin-chun (National Princess University) will present innovative teaching methods and cases utilizing AI and edtech.

○ The seminar is aimed at university instructors, graduate education centers, and university learning centers who are interested in AI-enabled teaching methods, and the general public can also participate for free online.

○ The seminar video will be available on the Graduate Qualified Education Center's website (www.udec.kr) and the University Public Lecture website (www.kocw.net).

□ "AI can be a tool that supports individualized learning based on data," said Yumi Seo, Director of KERIS, "and we hope that this seminar will be a place where we can think together about how to use AI productively in higher education."
