On May 15, 2025, the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) held a meeting with Uruguay’s digital education agency, CEIBAL, to discuss the renewal of their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
H.E. Paolo Scheiner, Ambassador of Uruguay to Korea, and Consul Gabriela Silva Canzani also attended the meeting and expressed hope for continued collaboration in digital education.

Both sides reviewed ongoing joint projects and exchanged ideas on policies to support Uruguay’s digital education transformation.

Following the meeting, participants visited Soha Middle School in Gwangmyeong to observe a class using AI-based digital textbooks and share experiences in digital learning.
