On June 26, the Korea Education and Research Information Service(KERIS) signed a memorandum of understanding(MOU) with the State Institute for School Quality and Educational Research(ISB) in Bavaria, Germany, to explore opportunities for institutional collaboration. ISB is a research institute under the Bavarian Ministry of Education that supports education policy development and the improvement of school education quality.
This agreement was established to facilitate the sharing of experiences and best practices in digital education innovation between two institutions. The signing ceremony was attended by President Jaeyoung Chung of KERIS, Head Sebastian Pfanzelt of ISB, and other representatives from both organizations.
The key areas of cooperation outlined in the MOU include:
Sharing experiences and policies related to digital education in Korea and Germany;
Joint exploration of the potential and strategic direction of digital education in the AI era;
Establishing a foundation for institutional collaboration to advance education in both countries.
