Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) is a public institute of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea responsible for advancing the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) across the education sectors.
The organization's seeks to achieve education innovation through the integration of ICTs in Korea and expanding this through international collaboration. Towards this aim, KERIS has been initiating and expanding various projects that expand the international collaboration through ICTs in Education - some of which include the Global Symposium on ICT in Education (GSIE), the ICT4ED International Expert Meeting, the Asean Cyber University Project, Global Media and Information Literacy Conference, the Educational Support Project through Solar-Powered Internet Schools (Solar-School Project). These projects have served as platforms of dialogue and interaction with government officials, education experts, and international organizations.
